Public access to Scottsdale golf
courses in the winter months is restricted to 30 days or less
at most courses. Arizona Golf Packages however, offers advance
access to Scottsdale’s premium courses up to 120 days prior
to arrival! This is of particular interest to golf groups
who require several back to back tee times.

Arizona Golf Packages acts as an agent of the client
and negotiates on their behalf with the courses selected
for a particular event. We then contract with the course,
and in turn, contract with the client. Arizona Golf Packages policies
with regard to deposits and cancellations will mirror those
of the participating courses but will operate in the interests
of the client.
Arizona Golf Packages will assist in course selection
with information provided to the group with regard to budget,
location, players’ skill levels and availability of
tee times. We will also provide contact information for food
and beverage requirements or tee prizes. |
A golf “group” in Scottsdale is generally considered to
be 16 players or more. It is a common misconception
that a golf group is entitled to a “group discount” off
the regular green fee. In fact, groups are charged a bit more ($5-$15
per player), which is described as a “tournament” fee.
In some cases, the additional fees may include a box lunch or a
merchandise package. A golf course does several things to
provide your group with those extra touches that will make
the event run smoother and can range from extra staffing of outside
service attendants, to cart signs with the names of each foursome.
It might also include the set-up of the course for a group’s
golf format, i.e. Scramble, Stableford, etc., with scoring by course
staff, and closest to the pin and long drive contests.
In cases where groups insist on no special attention with scoring,
course set-up, etc., Arizona Golf Packages is able to secure
the course with a waiver of a significant portion of the tournament
fee. This is dependent on the group size and the policies
of the individual courses involved.
Groups of 16 or more players are also required to sign a group
golf contract (usually at time of booking) which outlines the deposit
amount to hold the tee times, cancellation policy and any special
requirements of the group. These contracts are taken very seriously
and most courses will not hold space without a deposit.
Some courses will also build in an automatic gratuity for staff.
When food and beverage service is requested, either on-course (beverage
cart) or in the clubhouse restaurant, a separate contract may be
required.
Understanding the particular needs of groups ranging in size from
16 to 144 is one of our specialties. Let Arizona Golf Packages
make your event co-ordination hassle-free and easy!
